Charlotte GugliemiORDx+Rx founding partner and perioperative nursing consultant Charlotte Guglielmi has been chosen as a 2020 Fellow of the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN). AORN Fellows are those who have been recognized as a perioperative nurse leader who has made significant contributions to the perioperative nursing profession, and who have “demonstrated a commitment to practice that goes beyond the local setting to make a sustainable impact on perioperative patient care across the country.” Ms. Guglielmi is currently the Clinical Manager of Perioperative Education at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where she manages the OR Education Team, providing clinical leadership to support staff development. She also oversees her division’s practice, safety and quality initiatives, policy and procedure development, and curriculum design, and is responsible for the curriculum design for the BIDMC Perioperative Nurse Entry Program. AORN notes that being chosen as a Fellow demonstrates that Ms. Guglielmi’s “education and training, professional qualifications, and contributions to the perioperative profession have passed a rigorous evaluation and are consistent with the high standards established by the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses.”  We congratulate Ms. Guglielmi on this well-deserved honor.
